2022 Goals Q4 & EOY Update

Q4 & EOY! Happy New Year

So pumped to report on my 2022 Goals!

I follow the SMART goal approach.

My goals include the categories: business, finance, health, family, and personal.

Business Goals

These are definitely evolving as different opportunities present themselves

  1. Yoga – COMPLETE
    Bring back beach yoga!
    Deadline: Summer 2022
    Started: 7/2 Ended: 8/23
Get some non-members to my yoga classes at GWC
    Deadline: 12/31/2022
    2 regular non-members, and 2 more occasional non-members 😊
  1. Google Ads: generate enough traffic to qualify for Google Ads on this here blog
    Deadline: 12/31/2022
    INCOMPLETE

Finance Goals

Just one this year, nothing exceptional, but I’m so over my student loan payment.

  1. Payoff my remaining student loans
I was lucky enough not to have any loans from undergrad, so I just have what is left from my MBA. Roughly, $7500.
    Deadline: 12/31/2022
Progress: $7000 left – no change fro Q2
PAUSED – I believe I qualify for loan forgiveness with the new administration, this goal is currently on pause. I’ll leave it at that.

Health Goals:

This is a push for me to be where I want to be fitness wise.

  1. Crossfit on average 3x per week.
Status: 144, fell behind by 12.
    INCOMPLETE
  1. New Skill: double unders – COMPLETE 3/11/2022
Performed during the Open work out 22.3 Rx! Q1 Update gives a bit more info. Making strides at sustaining
  1. Independent cardio 1x per week @ 30 minutes
    Completely gave up here…
    Status: 17 😰behind by 35
    INCOMPLETE

If you’re into maths like me then:
3x a week on average equates to at least 156/year, 39/quarter, and 13/month.
2x a week on average equates to at least 104/year, 26/quarter, and 8-9/month.
1x a week on average equates to 52/year, 13/quarter, and 4-5/month

Family Goals

This goal went so well in 2020 & 2021 and was the one goal I fully accomplished both years, so I’m going to keep it the same 🙂

  1. 1 date night a month – childfree
  2. 1 family event/outing per month

See: Q3 Update. This is something that has ingrained itself in our lives. It will not be a goal moving forward because it’s not something we even need to try to do, we just end up doing it somehow and then some!

Personal Goals:

I am desperate to accomplish these. DES.PER.ATE.

  1. Finish both started knitting projects
    Status: 1 project complete…
    Technically, INCOMPLETE
  1. Read at least 3 books
    Status: 3 ✅

Here’s a tidy list of all goals:

  1. Business Goals
    • Yoga attendance
    • Enhance blog and generate passive income
  2. Finance Goals
    • Pay off student loan
  3. Health Goals
    • Crossfit average 3x per week
    • New Skill: Double unders
    • Independent cardio average 1x per week
  4. Family Goals
    • 1 child-free date night with the hubs monthly
    • 1 family outing monthly
  5. Personal Goals
    • Read
    • Knit

Overall, each category had a success, which is an improvement over 2021. A win is a win is a win!

The health goal always gets me, times just slips away. At least I got a new skill, so I will go for another new skill this year!

Regarding business and finance, I have this odd obsession with finding a successful side hustle. My theory is it has something to do with being an elder millennial. It was ingrained in us: we are lazy, if we just work harder/longer we can achieve our monetary goals, if we give up avocado toast we can build our savings, and on and on…

I will be expanding on my personal goals for 2023, not hugely, but some!

Can’t wait to finalize my goals and share them for accountability!
