2023 Goals – Q1 Update

Goal categories are: business, finance, health, personal, and long-term goals.

Strong start to the year in the first quarter. Hopefully I can keep this pace up!

Business Goals

These are definitely evolving as different opportunities present themselves

  1. Yoga
    • Beach yoga – get attendance back up. 2021 was slammed, 2022 not so much. I think 2021 with co-videos still a thing, people were looking for outside activities, but 2022 with everything back to normal not so much…
    • Grow the class at Great Woods Crossfit, non-members and members alike
  2. Start an Etsy shop. AKA my ever-changing hobby/side-hustle goal 🤣

Started the Etsy shop! Link
Very new, very limited. But my hope is if it is set up I can just add as I create.

Finance Goals

  1. Payoff my remaining student loans – Roughly, $7000.
Update: Awaiting decision from daddy government
Deadline: 12/31/2023 whether by forgiveness or payment.
  1. I will also be creating small finance goals throughout the year:
    • We had a mold issue with our dishwasher, gross I know. We were able to get a new one decently fast. Hubs loves 0% financing, idk why. But, I want that paid off by the end of May.
    • Consign baby items – I have signed up for There They Grow Again in hopes to (1) get things out of my house and (2) to make a chunk of money. The undertaking of this process… I was not prepared. I have it under control now, but omgsh. Considering a blog post on this venture.

Health Goals:

  1. Crossfit on average 3x per week.
I attempted this in 2020 and 2022 but I did not achieve it. I’m going to try again. It should be attainable.
    Status: 39, on track
  2. New Skill: Consistent toes to bar
Status: can string together 4 per set now, getting there!
  3. Independent cardio 1x per week @ 30 minutes
Status: 2 days of independent cardio for the year…

If you’re into maths like me then:
3x a week on average equates to at least 156/year, 39/quarter, and 13/month.
2x a week on average equates to at least 104/year, 26/quarter, and 8-9/month.
1x a week on average equates to 52/year, 13/quarter, and 4-5/month

Personal Goals:

  1. Finish 4-year old knitting project 😅
  2. Read at least 4 books

Update: ¼ books
Luckiest Girl Alive

Long Term Goals:

  1. 50 states before 50!
    – 15 visited

Pretty self explanatory, visit all 50 states before I turn 50. Roughly 1.5 decades to wrap them up.

Here’s a tidy list of all goals:

  1. Business Goals
    • Side hustles: yoga & etsy shop
  2. Finance Goals
    • Pay off student loans
    • Monthly challenges/ventures
  3. Health Goals
    • Crossfit average 3x per week
    • New Skill: Toes to bar
    • Independent cardio average 1x per week
  4. Personal Goals
    • Read
    • Knit
  5. Long Term goals
    • 50 states before 50

Super proud of my progress so far this quarter. I definitely don’t want to get cocky and ahead of myself, but since I’ve been blogging about my goals this is the best result outcome I’ve had in Q1.

Things I’m looking forward to in the next quarter:

The consignment sale in May. It’s a huge event occurring 2x annually. I’m interested to see how much I will make and to determine if it will be worth it again. It’s also stroking my inner wanna-be minimalist and desire to be more sustainable.

I heard somewhere that each household has over 300,000 items in it. Like, no thank you, very burdensome.

Things piquing my interest:

Thrifting. Not so much for resale, but more for myself and perhaps vintage items for resale.

Things I’m less than thrilled about:

Figuring out time for summer. Plans are always coming in HAWT! And I hope I can have some downtime and enjoy the season.

See you in Q2 💜

300k items?? That number sounds absurdly gross even though I probably am close, including my reselling junk 🤣 Yes please on the consignment sale content! Great start to your goals for this year!

    PS – Let’s thrift! 🙂
