2022 Goals Q2 Update
Q2 and right on queue.
Kidding, I have had this in my drafts for months! Well into Q4… But here we go!
Cannot believe the year is half over! Just want to celebrate some accomplishments and be accountable for shortcomings. Let’s see where I’m at with a goal update –
I like to follow the SMART goal approach.
What are SMART goals? Read my post for setting SMART goals here.
SMART is an acronym for:
Specific
Measurable
Achievable/Attainable
Relevant
Time-based
Here’s a quick run down:
S – the more specific the goal the better. Do not be vague. Umbrella goals usually do not succeed.
M – quantify your goal.
A – be honest with yourself. You don’t have to accomplish every goal, but you should be at least close to accomplishment.
R – choose something closely related to your ideals and appropriate at this time in life.
T – deadline! Pick an actual date in the future on the calendar. Include checkpoints if you desire 🙂
For my goals I’m going to tackle business, finance, health, family, and personal.
Business Goals
These are definitely evolving as different opportunities present themselves
- Yoga
Bring back beach yoga!
Deadline: Summer 2022
Scheduled to start 7/2
Get some non-members to my yoga classes at GWCF
Deadline: 12/31/2022
2 regular non-members, and 2 more occasional non-members 😊
- Google Ads: generate enough traffic to qualify for Google Ads on this here blog
Deadline: 12/31/2022
Finance Goals
Just one this year, nothing exceptional, but I’m so over my student loan payment.
- Payoff my remaining student loans
I was lucky enough not to have any loans from undergrad, so I just have what is left from my MBA. Roughly, $7500.
Deadline: 12/31/2022
Progress: $7000 left – Probably not paying this off as these loans qualify for the debt relief program. Hoping for the best.
Health Goals
This is a push for me to be where I want to be fitness wise.
- Crossfit on average 3x per week.
Status: 81, ahead by 3!
Is this giving me false hope about upping the amount to 4x per week in 2023. Yes. Absolutely 😂
- New Skill: double unders – COMPLETE 3/11/2022
Performed during the Open work out 22.3 Rx! Q1 Update gives a bit more info. Still not the best at them, but getting better.
- Independent cardio 1x per week @ 30 minutes
Need to step it up here… So bad, just straight up not good.
Status: 16 😰behind by 10
If you’re into maths like me then:
3x a week on average equates to at least 156/year, 39/quarter, and 13/month.
2x a week on average equates to at least 104/year, 26/quarter, and 8-9/month.
1x a week on average equates to 52/year, 13/quarter, and 4-5/month
Family Goals
This goal went so well in 2020 & 2021 and was the one goal I fully accomplished both years, so I’m going to keep it the same 🙂
- 1 date night a month – childfree
- 1 family event/outing per month
Date nights: getting hubs a new suit for upcoming weddings and getting sushi after. 2 other dinner dates, one with friends, and one without! Right on track this quarter, still slightly ahead overall 🙂
Family days: Easter, my niece’s 2nd birthday, Ewan’s 1st Birthday (omg!), and a friend’s birthday. So many fun parties with the whole family. We also started enjoying some beach days in Bourne! We also took a family trip to the Croc outlet to get Faye some Croc’s to celebrate her being completely potty trained during the day!
Personal Goals:
I am desperate to accomplish these. DES.PER.ATE.
- Finish both started knitting projects
- Read at least 3 books
Status: 1 book down, 1 project down!
Here’s a tidy list of all goals:
- Business Goals
- Yoga attendance
- Enhance blog and generate passive income
- Finance Goals
- Pay off student loan
- Health Goals
- Crossfit average 3x per week
- New Skill: Double unders
- Independent cardio average 1x per week
- Family Goals
- 1 child-free date night with the hubs monthly
- 1 family outing monthly
- Personal Goals
- Read
- Knit
Progress in most areas, stagnant in others. Need to make more time for independent cardio and send more funds to my student loans.
A whole half year left, let’s see what we can accomplish!
I’d love to read your goals in the comments or any input you may have on how you stay focused! If you have any other questions or want assistance with your goals, you can also reach out on the contact form 😉

Great progress! Totally can relate to the pause on paying off the student loans. Hoping that all goes through!
