2023 Goals – Q2 Update
Goal categories are: business, finance, health, personal, and long-term goals.
The halfway point always sneaks up on me! I can’t believe the year is half done, cray-cray.
Business Goals
These are definitely evolving as different opportunities present themselves
- Yoga
- Beach yoga – get attendance back up. 2021 was slammed, 2022 not so much. I think 2021 with co-videos still a thing, people were looking for outside activities, but 2022 with everything back to normal not so much…
- Grow the class at Great Woods Crossfit, non-members and members alike
- Volunteered to host the ice cream social at my parents’ summer cottage community, much to hub’s chagrin. While it’s not the most lucrative side-hustle is is so cute to see everyone in the community come up with their families and have ice cream ❤️
- Start an Etsy shop. AKA my ever-changing hobby/side-hustle goal 🤣
Status: Established, canceled, and an addition. Basically all over the place!
Yoga remains as normal at the gym. I canceled beach yoga for the season. With no attendance the first week and then having to cancel most weekends due to other obligations it did not seem worth it to me.

Please give it a follow 🙏🏻
Added a few more items, hoping for more in the next quarter.
Finance Goals
- Payoff my remaining student loans – Roughly, $7000.
Update: Looks like we will be back to making payments in October, oh well.
Deadline: 12/31/2023, seems so close now, eek
- I will also be creating small finance goals throughout the year:
- We had a mold issue with our dishwasher, it was horrible. We were able to get a new one decently fast. Hubs loves 0% financing, idk why. But, I want that paid off by the end of May.
Complete! - Consign baby items – I have signed up for There They Grow Again in hopes to (1) get things out of my house and (2) to make a chunk of money.
Complete: total proceeds $486.00

Next up: balance transfer card. Big truth – the amex got out of hand and we did a balance transfer. Ugh. Rocking at about $7,500 right now. Woof. So annoyed, embarrassed, disappointed, sad, mad…
Health Goals:
- Crossfit on average 3x per week.
I attempted this in 2020 and 2022 but I did not achieve it. I’m going to try again. It should be attainable.
Status: 72, behind by 6
New Skill: Consistent toes to bar
Status: can string together 4-7 per set now, getting there!
- Independent cardio 1x per week @ 30 minutes
Status: 2 days of independent cardio for the year…
If you’re into maths like me then:
3x a week on average equates to at least 156/year, 39/quarter, and 13/month
2x a week on average equates to at least 104/year, 26/quarter, and 8-9/month
1x a week on average equates to 52/year, 13/quarter, and 4-5/month
Personal Goals:
- Finish 4-year old knitting project 😅
Update: Completed 6/30, right under the wire for Q2
- Read at least 4 books
Update: 3/4 books
Luckiest Girl Alive, Daisy Joes and the Six, The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo, and just started People We Meet on Vacation
Long Term Goals:
- 50 states before 50!
- 16 visited (miscounted last Q)
Pretty self explanatory, visit all 50 states before I turn 50. Roughly 1.5 decades to wrap them up.
Here’s a tidy list of all goals:
- Business Goals
- Side hustles: yoga & etsy shop
- Finance Goals
- Pay off student loans
- Monthly challenges/ventures
- Health Goals
- Crossfit average 3x per week
- New Skill: Toes to bar
- Independent cardio average 1x per week
- Personal Goals
- Read
- Knit
- Long Term goals
- 50 states before 50
Not thrilled with my progress this quarter. Need to get back on a good workout schedule. The positive is I have made time for more chill hobbies like reading and crafting.
Things I’m looking forward to in the next quarter:
Bachelorette for my future SIL in Scottsdale, AZ!!
Things piquing my interest:
Coffee scrubs. Thinking about trying my hand at making some and adding to my Etsy shop.
Things I’m less than thrilled about:
Summer feels over and it’s barely started. Every weekend is slowly getting booked up.
My first baby is starting preschool 🥹, but it’s such an exciting next step!
You’ll see me in Q3 💜
